New Plymouth

We have a fantastic purpose built centre on Buller Street in New Plymouth, one street back from the coast and right around the corner from town. There are four classrooms specifically designed and resourced to cater for children aged 0-5 years, split into two infants rooms, a toddler room and preschool room. All rooms face out onto to our amazing adventure playground specifically designed to allow our teachers to integrate learning through play.

A few words from Lyn our Centre Manager

Hi my name is Lyn Coulton and I am passionate about providing quality Early Childhood education and care for your child. It is important to me that the whole family / whanau feels they belong here and are able to express the things that are important to them and their child.

Our team of teachers love working in this new purpose built centre. Children are able to flow from inside to outside and all the areas are well resourced and set up for learning. The core values that the team holds dear are happiness, relationships, respect and integrity. This along with our CubbyHouse philosophy gives us direction and purpose in our teaching.

My background in Early Childhood is extensive and varied. I started as a primary teacher and through Playcentre my love for Early Childhood teaching emerged. I retrained as an Early Childhood teacher and eventually owned and managed a group of centres. My next role was a facilitator of teacher professional development with Massey University for 4 years. After a sea change running a resort on the Gold Coast family brought us back to New Plymouth. I joined The CubbyHouse as Manager when it opened in November 2013.
